Job Opportunity: Senior BAS Accountant at Established CA Firm

Overview

An established CA firm in Central Auckland is seeking a Senior BAS Accountant to join their rapidly growing practice. This role focuses on annual accounts, tax returns, and high-quality business advice. The ideal candidate will have experience in New Zealand accounting firms, strong knowledge of Xero packages, and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage work flow and ensure jobs are completed within budget
• Act as a key contact point in client relationship management
• Review work of junior team members
• Focus on technical compliance and value-added/advisory work

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

• Past experience in a New Zealand Accounting firm at a reviewer/supervisory level
• Strong working experience with Xero packages and add-ons
• Knowledge of NZ IRD tax requirements
• Experience in stakeholder management and direct client communication
