Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Coder to join our Clinical Improvement Team at Auckland City Hospital, Grafton. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary range of $89,000 - $105,000 per annum based on experience. As a Clinical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring better quality and safer care for our patients and their whānau by accurately assigning diagnostic codes from clinical records.

Job Responsibilities

The Clinical Coder will utilize documentation in clinical records to assign codes from the International Classification of Diseases, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM) and the Australian Classification of Health Intervention (ACHI). These codes are essential in determining a patient's treatment complexity, hospital casemix data, and reimbursement for inpatient admission. By joining our team, you will contribute to improving the clinical care provided to our patients through enhanced documentation practices.
