Are you passionate about nursing education and contributing to the development of clinical learning? Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join the School of Clinical Sciences at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) as a Clinical Educator in Nursing. We have multiple permanent part-time positions available for dedicated nurse educators like you.

Job Details and Responsibilities

As a Clinical Educator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the education of future nurses in the Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) and Master of Nursing Science programmes at AUT. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Modeling best clinical practices
  • Inspiring and supporting students in their academic journey
  • Effective communication with students and colleagues
  • Staying clinically current in the New Zealand healthcare landscape
  • Demonstrating IT skills

We are looking for candidates who hold a minimum of a PG certificate in a Nursing-related qualification, have a current NCNZ practicing certificate, and possess recent clinical experience in New Zealand.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants for this role should have a high level of cultural sensitivity, especially when working with Māori and Pacific students. Knowledge of kawa and tikanga Māori and mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) is desirable. Successful candidates will commit to ongoing professional development through the AUT staff development programme.

Salary and Closing Date

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $95,000 Pro-rata, with the appointment level and salary based on skills and experience. The closing date for applications is 23rd July 2024, at 11:55 pm.

This role is classified as a children's worker role and will involve safety checks as per the Children's Act 2014. The position is based in Northcote, Auckland.
