Changing Minds is a national not-for-profit organization in Aotearoa dedicated to supporting the hauora (wellbeing) of individuals with lived experience of mental health and/or addiction. We are looking for a passionate Communications Specialist to join our diverse team and help coordinate our Communication and Community Development Strategy initiatives.

Your Role
As a Communications Specialist, you will work closely with our Engagement Manager to implement the organization's Communications Strategy across various projects. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing structured communications, contributing to the Changing Minds Communications Plan, and supporting the Community Development Strategy. We welcome applicants with a high proficiency in English and a commitment to the values of te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Your Skills and Potential
- Personal lived experience of mental distress and/or addiction and/or gambling harm
- Strong project management skills and experience in annual and strategic planning
- Exceptional peer leadership and relationship management abilities
- Superior communication, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities
- Experience in Co-Design and/or co-production is desired
- Strong technical/IT abilities and confidence in digital systems
