Health and Safety Coordinator - Construction Industry

Location: South-East Auckland

Company: Established Construction Business

Role Overview:

  • Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to identify and mitigate risks and hazards
  • Administer and monitor health and safety and first aid training and certification requirements
  • Support investigation of health and safety-related incidents and near-misses
  • Develop emergency plans and procedures
  • Coordinate with Health and Safety advisors and site managers to ensure compliance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete Health and Safety documentation for projects
  • Manage supply of safety equipment and signage
  • Compile Homestar evidence for projects
  • Liaise with subcontractors and in-house staff for documentation
  • Coordinate sub-contractors annual prequalification

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in health and safety or compliance, preferably in construction
  • Knowledge of NZ health and safety regulations
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with project management systems
