We are currently looking for Expressions of Interest for Corrections Officer positions in Auckland. About the Role

As a Corrections Officer, you will work in a dynamic environment with the support of a team of experienced professionals. Your role will involve engaging with individuals in a positive manner, supervising daily routines, and helping to facilitate positive change through your interactions. Monitoring behavior, managing safety, and resolving conflicts within the unit are also key responsibilities.

About You

To excel as a Corrections Officer, you should possess a positive mindset, the ability to engage with diverse groups, and a strong motivation to make a positive impact. Experience in a people-focused role and the willingness to work rostered shifts, including weekends and holidays, are advantageous. While experience in a Kaupapa Māori or Pasifika environment is desirable, it is not mandatory.

Requirements and Training

In addition to unique skills and perspectives, candidates must have a current New Zealand driver's license or the ability to obtain one within three months. Pre-employment checks, including drug testing, criminal background checks, medical assessments, and physical fitness evaluations, are mandatory. Successful candidates will undergo fully paid training through the Corrections Officer Development Pathway.

Salary and Benefits

The starting salary for Corrections Officers is $65,019, with opportunities for salary increases upon achieving National Qualifications Level 3 and Level 4. Additional benefits include night rates, annual shift allowances, continuous learning and development opportunities, and access to support networks.
