The Opportunity
As part of the Population Health Gain team, you will provide trusted advice to health system decision-makers with an evidence-based, intelligence-driven, and whole-system approach to enhance population-level outcomes. Your main responsibilities will include understanding population data sources, developing standards for their use across the sector, and utilizing this data to model equitable changes in the health system.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in demographic data, a background or interest in health and equity, and strong analytical skills. Effective communication and the ability to engage with stakeholders across the organization and sector are essential for this role.
Skills and Experience
Required qualifications include relevant graduate and post-graduate degrees, familiarity with the Māori Data Governance Model, experience with health service user datasets and national collections datasets, as well as proficiency in statistical software. Experience with New Zealand Census data, data analysis, and report generation are also key skills needed for this role.
