Job Description

As a DFIR and Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will be at the forefront of digital forensics, incident response, and threat intelligence analysis. Your responsibilities will include conducting digital forensics investigations, analyzing threat intelligence data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen cyber defense capabilities. You will have access to cutting-edge tools and technologies to stay ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and manage digital forensics investigations following best practices and compliance standards.
  • Support the response to cyber security incidents and provide technical expertise for investigations.
  • Collaborate with various teams to form a virtual DFIR team and align processes with broader cyber security goals.
  • Investigate electronically stored information to support legal and compliance efforts.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity threat analysis structures to enhance incident response and threat detection efforts.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in digital forensics and investigations.
  • An advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (preferred).
  • Forensic-focused certifications such as GCFA, GCFE, GNFA, or GASF.
  • Experience in investigating complex incidents like APTs, Ransomware, and Data Exfiltration.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and operating systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Location and Benefits

This role is based in either Auckland or Wellington, with a competitive salary range of NZD 130,000 - 140,000 per annum.
