Position Overview

Join our Emerging Professionals Programme at NZTA - Waka Kotahi, offering planning graduate opportunities in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. As part of the programme, you will work on enhancing the transport network and systems across Aotearoa, gaining exposure to Transport Planning and Environmental Planning teams.

Job Description

The Transport Planning team focuses on developing business cases, from strategic direction to detailed design phases, while the Environmental Planning team is involved in activities like Land Use Developments and third-party approvals. Both teams offer opportunities for career development and progression within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidates should have a planning qualification obtained within the last 6 years, attention to detail, strong communication skills, personal and cultural values, collaborative spirit, eagerness to learn, curiosity for improvement, and a proactive mindset. Understanding of Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and Te Reo Māori, as well as awareness of te Tiriti o Waitangi, is preferred.
