Job Description

As the Engineering Manager, your primary responsibilities will include minimizing downtime through effective planning and maintenance management, ensuring maintenance aligns with food safety and quality standards, providing leadership in health and safety practices, driving continuous improvement in maintenance operations, managing budgets and asset maintenance, and overseeing project management for health and safety and sustainability upgrades.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferably in the food industry, along with at least 3 years of team leadership or people management experience. A background in mechanical or electrical trades or an engineering tertiary qualification is essential. Proficiency in IT, particularly in CMMS preventative maintenance software, and a strong grasp of Lean Manufacturing and CI methodologies are highly valued. Excellent communication skills, both upwards and downwards in the organizational hierarchy, as well as proficiency in reporting, planning, budgeting, and job scheduling are crucial.
