## Job Opportunity: Financial Mentor at Franklin Family Support Services

### About the Organization Franklin Family Support Services, a registered charity contracted by the Ministry of Social Development, is dedicated to providing free and confidential services to individuals and families in Franklin. Their mission is to help build financial capability through various programs including Social Work, Counseling, Budgeting, and more.

### Position Details - **Start Date**: 1st July or negotiable - **Hours**: 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, including availability until 7pm on Thursdays) - **Location**: Pukekohe and Tuakau offices - **Closing Date**: 9.06.2024 at 4pm or until a suitable candidate is appointed

### Role Requirements The ideal candidate will have: - Experience in Financial Mentoring or completion of the FinCap Financial Management Introductory Course - Advocacy and negotiation skills with creditors and government agencies - Knowledge of MSD contract expectations - Familiarity with Te Ao Maori and Pasifika cultures - Ability to work independently and manage caseloads efficiently - Strong communication and IT skills - Time management and flexibility with appointments

### Role Description As a Financial Mentor at Franklin Family Support Services, you will: - Provide financial management skills and knowledge to support clients in reaching their goals - Use a mana-enhancing approach to find long-term solutions for clients - Collaborate with colleagues and professionals to provide wrap-around support while maintaining confidentiality - Engage with clients through various methods including face-to-face meetings, online sessions, and home visits - Facilitate Money Mates classes and uphold the organization's values - Contribute to team success and participate in training and performance reviews - Utilize the Client Management System and Microsoft products

### Other Requirements - Full NZ Driver’s License - Clear Police Check - NZ Residency/Citizenship
