About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate individual to join our mental health team as a Community Support Worker. This is a permanent/full-time role (40 hours) based at our Mount Albert office in Auckland. The role involves working with individuals who experience mild to moderate mental distress, developing recovery-focused plans, promoting independence and diversity, and aligning with community development principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within the mental health services to support individuals and families
  • Develop recovery-focused plans
  • Promote choice, independence, and diversity
  • Be responsive to individual service user's needs
  • Align with community development principles
  • Facilitate ongoing recovery with a family systems/aiga approach

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with people
  • Experience in mental health services
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
