As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in the Finance Team, reporting directly to the CFO and contributing to various financial management tasks.

Role Purpose:

As a Financial Controller at MIE PAY NEW ZEALAND LIMITED, your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the preparation of monthly reports, tax compliance, budgeting and forecasting, annual audits, and statutory reporting. Additionally, you will be involved in continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Key Accountabilities:

• Financial Management (25%)
• Strategic Contribution (15%)
• Corporate Administration and Performance Reporting (10%)
• Monthly Reporting (20%)
• Tax Compliance (10%)
• Budgeting and Forecasting (10%)
• Annual Audit and Statutory Reporting (10%)
• Continuous Improvement

Key Requisites:

Education/Experience:

Mandatory: B Com, Newly qualified CA
Preferred: Strong technical experience, financial accounting background, proficient with Excel, Xero experience is a bonus but not essential

• Problem solver, trustworthy, and positive attitude
• Ability to develop excellent working relationships with staff
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changes

Key Working Relationships:

Internal: Managing Director, Finance Team, Executive Team
External: Financial Community (auditors, tax advisors)
