About PBS Fire

PBS Fire, part of Pacific Building Services Ltd, is in search of a talented design engineer specializing in mechanical fire sprinkler design and project management. With operations since 2000, PBS Fire focuses on designing, engineering, installing, and maintaining fire systems, structured cabling, security, access control, and CCTV systems for various types of buildings. The team operates from Auckland, with additional offices in Manukau and Hamilton, catering to clients across the upper North Island.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire system design
• Knowledge of NZS 4541, 4510, 4515 standards
• Understanding of architectural, structural, and services drawings
• Familiarity with NFPA standards is advantageous
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Proficiency in working both independently and as part of a team
• Experience with sprinkler design software and Revit is a plus
• Ability to manage projects efficiently, including material scheduling and installation oversight
