Job Overview: ICT Systems Administrator

The ICT Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the school's core student information system and ensuring smooth integration with other software programs and databases. Reporting to the ICT Manager, the Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the ICT infrastructure, providing end-user support, and developing data reports to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the school's Student Information System (SIS) and its integration with other software programs.
  • Oversee data entry, system configuration, user management, and access control.
  • Ensure data integrity through regular audits and validation checks.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to the SIS and perform database maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with departments to gather requirements for system enhancements.
  • Administer cloud-based services like Office 365 and Microsoft Intune for mobile device management.
  • Ensure proper integration between systems for streamlined data management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • IT degree or equivalent qualification with relevant certifications.
  • 2+ years of experience providing IT support.
  • Experience with Windows, Mac OS, iPad, iOS, Active Directory, Office 365, SQL Server, and Exchange Server.
  • Knowledge of wireless networking, firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
