About the Role

This role is part of Rocket Lab's Integrated Operations team, focusing on testing, launch, and mission operations of Electron rockets. Specifically, you will be part of Team Y, specializing in vehicle avionics and software. Your responsibilities will include testing electrical and software systems, ensuring functionality from pre-flight to in-flight operations. Additionally, you will contribute to procedure improvements, tool development, and automation efforts.

Engineer II Qualifications

  • Aerospace, software, electrical, or mechatronic engineering degree
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering design, test, or operations
  • Proficiency with Git
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Detail-oriented with a careful work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with launch vehicles or spacecraft
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C/C++/C#, Go
  • Data analysis skills
  • Understanding of networking and high-voltage systems
  • Experience with Linux, Docker, and scripting languages
  • Knowledge of CI automation and build tools
