Join Our Team as an Intermediate BAS Accountant

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a new challenge in Auckland CBD? We are a growing firm in ramp-up mode, offering an attractive market salary plus benefits. As an Intermediate BAS Accountant in our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely alongside the Director and Senior Accountants on a variety of clients from different industries.

Key Duties

As an Intermediate BAS Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Tax planning and other compliance duties
  • Owning the entire preparation tasks for a wide range of clients
  • Acting as the client liaison point on any outstanding documentation
  • Supporting the Senior Accountants and Directors in managing the relationship and contact with clients

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Past experience in a local accounting firm at a preparer level
  • Wide range of client portfolio experience including SMEs, family trusts, and sole traders
  • Comfortable in preparing a full set of accounts via Xero
  • Strong knowledge of NZ IRD tax requirements
  • Stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate directly with clients
