Job Opportunity: Bitumen Sprayer Driver

Salary: $30 - $40 per Hour (Experience-Dependent)

About the Company

This role is with one of the premier construction companies in Auckland, offering a unique opportunity for road tripping adventures.

About the Gig

As a Bitumen Sprayer Driver, also known as a Road Picasso, you will unleash your inner asphalt artist by spraying first coats, reseals, and creating patching masterpieces. The role involves working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, clocking in 40-60 hours per week. During the 'on season,' you will embark on a nationwide road trip for 3 weeks, followed by a week of rest at home.

Responsibilities

• Spray bitumen professionally
• Operate a Class 4 sprayer truck
• Conduct quality assurance checks
• Travel from October to March for road projects

Requirements

• Knowledge of membranes and two-coat application
• 2-3 years of experience in bitumen and chipsealing in construction
• Training in the Safe Handling of Bitumen
• Class 1 & 4 license with Dangerous Goods endorsement
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
