Role Overview

In this role, you will work within the Sport Development Team to design and implement strategies that promote tennis participation among youth in New Zealand. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with regions, associations, and clubs to create inclusive environments, partnering with schools to integrate tennis into educational activities, and leading promotional campaigns targeting young players and their families.

Additionally, you will be involved in the management of national participation programs, such as Tennis Hot Shots, and work closely with coaches and clubs to ensure the successful delivery of these programs. Monitoring program effectiveness, gathering feedback, and maintaining program information will be essential components of your role to enhance the overall participant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement strategies for growing junior and youth participation in tennis
• Identify opportunities to expand access to tennis among diverse communities and underrepresented groups
• Establish partnerships with schools to integrate tennis into curriculum activities
• Lead the delivery of national participation programs, focusing on Tennis Hot Shots
• Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional campaigns targeting young players
• Monitor program statistics and evaluate effectiveness to drive improvements
