Role Overview

We are looking for a full-time laboratory technician to join our science faculty and work alongside our part-time technician to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate is someone who values health and safety, has an interest in horticulture, and is passionate about supporting effective education programs for students.

Responsibilities

- Contribute to and maintain the health and safety of the science faculty - Assist in the maintenance of the horticulture compound - Order, prepare, and manage equipment and kits - Prepare chemical stock solutions - Perform minor equipment repairs - Handle administration duties

The ideal candidate for this role should: - Be a team player - Enjoy working with both adults and teenagers - Value health and safety - Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement - Be detail-oriented and organized

Position Details

This role is to cover a maternity leave position from May 27 until December 16, 2024. It is a term-time only position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, including an unpaid half-hour break each day.
