Job Opportunity: Engaging Social Worker for Youth Mental Health

About Manu Ka Rere Collaborative

If you are passionate about working with youth and are ready to take on a new role, the Manu Ka Rere Collaborative has an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking an engaging social worker or a similar professionally registered health professional to provide one-on-one and group work for young people aged 13-24 with mild to moderate mental health issues. Join our supportive team and make a difference in the lives of young individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering intervention models and assessments for youth
  • Supporting youth both online and in person
  • Facilitating groups with young people
  • Working from 10am to 6.30pm on some days to accommodate clients after school
  • Liaising with link agencies, collaborating with Specialist Youth Services and Primary Care
  • Updating notes and ensuring proper plans are in place

Requirements:

  • Health professional registration
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in group facilitation
  • Ability to build rapport with young people
  • Organizational skills to manage a clinical workload
  • Cultural awareness

Additional Skills:

Experience in Alcohol and Other Drug services is beneficial as there is a possibility to work within the Youth Justice environment. The ideal candidate should be able to relate well to young individuals and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
