Matua - Pacific Cultural Leader
Fonua Ola Network is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering Pasifika families. We are currently seeking two Matua to join our team of experts in wellbeing practitioners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement the vision and mission of the Trust.
- Deliver and affirm Pasifika cultural best practices in service delivery.
- Provide organizational leadership and support to clients, families, caregivers, and staff.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, Pasifika groups, and the community.
- Promote educational learning and training for cultural competencies.
Requirements:
- In-depth cultural knowledge in Pacific language, customs, and spirituality.
- Confidence in speaking a traditional Pacific language in public forums.
- Matua, Matai, or Chief Leadership status in the Pasifika community.
- Ability to apply Pacific health models in assessment and case management.
- Preferably hold a formal qualification in Health, Mental Health, addictions, or community development.
