Crossroads Clubhouse, operating under the Arahura Charitable Trust, is a non-government, not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to assisting individuals with mental illness in the community. The Clubhouse provides a supportive and non-institutional environment where adults with mental illness can help each other rebuild their confidence, social skills, vocational skills, and more. The Clubhouse follows the Clubhouse Model of recovery, which is a researched model known for its effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Mental Health Support Worker at Crossroads Clubhouse is to coordinate a pre-vocational unit that aims to provide meaningful work opportunities for its members. The role involves ensuring that members work together as a team in various daily operations within the designated unit. Tasks may include facilitating different work units as directed by the Clubhouse Director, such as preparing lunches in the Kitchen Unit, which is an essential part of the Clubhouse.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for the position, candidates are required to hold a Certificate in Mental Health Support Work Level 4 or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Pay Equity Legislation. Additionally, a full driver's license is necessary as the role may involve driving service vehicles, particularly vans.
