Job Opportunity: Pasifika Family Support Worker

About the Role:

• Support Pasifika clients/families in developing and implementing wellness plans to achieve their health, wellbeing, and employment goals.
• Collaborate with Fonua Ola services to assist clients in acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach their goals.
• Act as a bridge, advocate, coach, and mentor for clients, fostering relationships with healthcare services and community organizations.
• Promote Fonua Ola services to local healthcare providers to generate referrals.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a mental health clinical environment.
• Commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi.
• Fluency in a Pasifika language and culture.
• Ability to integrate western therapies with Pasifika paradigms.
• Experience working with Pasifika communities.
• Relevant qualifications in mental health and wellbeing.
• Valid driver’s license.

Desired Qualifications:

• Post-graduate study in talking therapies, mental health, or addictions.
• NZ Registered health professional with a current practicing certificate.
• Experience in community mental health settings.
