Position Overview

The University of Auckland is seeking a Night Supervisor to play a crucial role in managing evening operations in the university residences. The primary responsibilities include providing support in health, safety, wellbeing, and security, as well as efficient administrative services. This client-facing role focuses on ensuring the well-being of student residents during night-time hours and upholding community standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be the key contact for administrative and facility coordination within the Accommodation department
  • Implement safety protocols and respond to crises effectively
  • Provide first aid when necessary and ensure the overall health and security of residents
  • Support student welfare and offer guidance to residents for academic success
  • Work collaboratively with Resident Manager & Night Manager

Qualifications and Skills

  • First Aid Certificate and a full, clean NZ driver’s license preferred
  • Knowledge of security systems, CRM, databases, and Building Health & Safety compliance
  • Good public relations and communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Physical fitness

Work Details

  • Part-time position (average of 60 hours per fortnight)
  • Permanent role with overnight shifts on a weekly basis, including one weekend shift per week
  • Remuneration of $63,900 per annum, pro rata for part-time hours
