As a VSA volunteer, you will work in partnership with the University of Natural Resources and Environment (UNRE) to help strengthen their capacity in business development. UNRE is dedicated to sustainable development in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region, focusing on agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and environmental science.

Assignment Description:

The assignment as a Business Development Advisor involves supporting UNRE in establishing and operating a business arm to enhance revenue generation and financial sustainability. As a technical expert, you will be contributing to the university's mission and strategic goals by implementing business plans and strategies to support its academic and research endeavors.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualification or degree in Business, Commerce, or related field
• Experience in business development, preferably in the academic or research sector
• Strong knowledge of business development strategies and techniques
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills

Desirable Experience:
