Job requirements:
- Current Peer Employment Training or Intentional Peer Support Training
- Completion of WRAP training
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or equivalent
- Knowledge of the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights
- Understanding and commitment to recovery principles
- Lived experience of mental illness
- Knowledge of mental health and NGO sector development
- Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Job responsibilities:
- Support tangata whai ora living independently in the community
- Work alongside peer support workers and support workers
- Assist in finding suitable housing and medication support
Qualifications:
- Peer Employment Training or Intentional Peer Support Training
- Completion of WRAP training
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or recognized equivalent
Skills:
- Strong commitment to recovery principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team
