About HELP

Since 1982, HELP has been dedicated to providing specialist sexual abuse support services to Aucklanders. The organization aims to support individuals impacted by abuse to reclaim their rights and lead fulfilling lives. Located in Mount Eden, HELP employs approximately 60 staff members who deliver a wide range of services to the community, including a 24/7 helpline, counseling, support through various processes, therapy, psycho-education, fundraising, and training.

The Role

This is a permanent part-time role (20 hours per week) at HELP, where the main responsibility involves providing generalist HR advice and support across the organization. The role includes coordinating HR processes, managing personnel records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and audits, and focusing on transitioning to a more efficient centralized HR function. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of relevant HR experience, a tertiary qualification, proven relationship-building skills, knowledge of employment law and best practices, self-motivation, inter-cultural communication skills, and a passion for social causes.
