Responsibilities of a Human Resource Advisor

As a Human Resource Advisor at Waitematā, you will play a crucial role in providing best-practice human resource advice and expertise to both management and staff. Working as a business partner alongside a Human Resource Manager, you will be responsible for your service portfolio. Your key duties will include interpreting and applying human resource policies, providing guidance on employment matters, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Qualifications and Skills Required

For this role, the ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong analytical capability, and attention to detail. Additionally, experience in change management and performance management is highly desirable. A tertiary qualification in human resources, psychology, or business is essential, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in HR. Previous exposure to a unionised environment will be advantageous.
