About the Opportunity

Be a part of the Ka Awatea Transition to Adulthood Service in Tamaki Makaurau/Auckland region and make a real impact on the lives of at-risk rangatahi. This full-time position based in New Lynn offers a unique opportunity to support young individuals in their transition to adulthood from long-term care or youth justice residential placement.

Responsibilities of Kai Atawhai|Transition Worker

  • Provide ongoing and supported transition for rangatahi
  • Assist in skills and knowledge development
  • Support the building of a sustainable support network
  • Actively help rangatahi Māori in developing their cultural identity

Requirements

  • Understanding of rangatahi with complex behavioral needs
  • Bachelors/Master's degree in a related field
  • Registration with a professional body
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Full and clean New Zealand driver's license
