Key points
- ICWG has been supporting women affected by family violence for over 40 years. - ICWG delivers five key educational programmes. - The organization works closely with allied community agencies and organizations. - They are looking for experienced practitioners with lived experience in Te Ao Māori and/or the Pasifika community for assessment and group facilitation work at their Papatoetoe site. - The role is a contracting position with varying hours depending on programme delivery, including evenings and weekends.
Job requirements
- Demonstrated lived experience in Te Ao Māori and/or the Pasifika community. - Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence. - Training and experience in working with abused women or in the family harm sector. - Experience in group facilitation and education. - Cultural sensitivity and awareness of Treaty of Waitangi principles. - Sound technology skills and experience with client database systems. - Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector (desirable).
Job responsibilities
- Facilitation of group programmes. - Client assessments and safety planning. - Client advocacy, support sessions, and referrals. - Recording and completing case management. - Reporting to funders and various administrative duties.
Qualifications
- Affiliation, or working towards affiliation, to an appropriate professional body.
