Are you an intelligent, versatile thinker looking to play a crucial role in significant projects with a major company in Auckland CBD? This blog post will provide you with insight into a unique opportunity with an arts-focused charitable trust that is venturing into creating spaces for reflection and connection.

The Company

The arts-focused charitable trust is embarking on a new business unit dedicated to establishing places for pause and reflection that are set to last and evolve over 1,000 years. Their projects are designed to prompt individuals to contemplate their relationship with the location, its history, and future. By merging artistic creativity with practicality, they craft visually appealing and functional spaces that showcase areas of historical, cultural, or personal importance.

The Role

In this position, you will take charge of managing the end-to-end process of multiple small projects simultaneously, each valued at less than $50,000. Your responsibilities will range from conceptualization and design to stakeholder engagement, installation, activation, and post-installation upkeep. Based in Central Auckland, you will collaborate with various entities such as local government, community groups, private families, and Iwi to secure access agreements and ensure project success. Additionally, you will provide essential support to the management and contractor team, uphold high-quality standards, and foster community engagement by incorporating Tikanga Māori throughout the project execution.

About You

If you have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on project implementation experience, a strong foundation in local government or place-based community work, and expertise in areas like fabrication, engineering, and construction, this role might be the perfect fit for you. Your ability to manage scope, budgets, and timelines efficiently, along with your proficiency in relationship building and negotiation, will be invaluable. This position calls for a team player who thrives in an environment where everyone pitches in, making it a collaborative and supportive workspace.
