Local Driver/Storeman Full-time Job

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Driver/Storeman to join our team at B&D Doors NZ in Christchurch. As a part of the B&D Group, a prominent manufacturer in custom sectional, roller doors, and openers, this role involves managing local & national deliveries (70%) and general warehousing duties (30%). The position may also require occasional line haul (Class 5) relief driving, with nights away from home.

Applicants need to hold a Forklift (F Endorsed) License and a minimum of a Class 2 Driver’s License, with a Class 5 Driver’s License preferred. The work hours are between 6am – 2.30pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members
• Communicate delivery timeframes to customers
• Maintain vehicles for deliveries
• Meet daily delivery targets
• Manage working hours and expenses

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate should have a valid Class 2 to 5 Driver's License and a Forklift F Endorsement, along with a minimum of 5 years driving experience in logistics and warehouse operations. They should also possess strong communication skills, effective time management, and customer service orientation.
