Kaahui Whetuu Care & Protection Residence in South Auckland is currently seeking Residential Youth Workers to provide care and support to young people in their facility. This role involves encouraging positive choices, providing wrap-around support, and helping young individuals successfully transition back into the community. As a Residential Youth Worker, you'll have the chance to positively influence the lives of these young people and assist them in their growth journey.

Role Responsibilities

• Coaching rangatahi through daily activities and life skills
• Engaging in recreational activities with young individuals
• Supporting rangatahi with their studies and teaching essential life skills
• Building relationships with young people who have experienced trauma

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid driver's license
• Children's Act safety checking compliance
• New Zealand citizenship or residency
• Resilience, empathy, and patience
• Experience working with Rangatahi and Tamariki
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of tikanga Māori and te reo Māori
