Job Overview: Senior Asset Manager

Mainland Capital is currently seeking a Senior Asset Manager to join its dynamic team. Reporting to the Head of Funds Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting strategic asset management plans for a portfolio of properties across New Zealand. The role entails fostering relationships with stakeholders, driving sustainable performance, and overseeing various operational aspects related to asset management.

Responsibilities of the Senior Asset Manager

• Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop and implement strategic business plans for the asset portfolio
• Lead leasing agents and external property specialists
• Prepare and monitor income and expenditure budgets
• Contribute to acquisition due diligence processes
• Produce comprehensive reports for stakeholders
• Ensure projects align with strategic goals and budget constraints

Requirements for the Role

• Minimum 7 years' experience in asset management with a property investment fund manager
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Financial acumen and proficiency in Excel for investment analysis
• Understanding of commercial property as an investment asset class
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to generate value
• Ability to work independently and cultivate new business opportunities
• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
