Senior Bartender Full-time Job

Key points:

- Senior Bartender and Wine Service Professional position available at Prego Restaurant - Full-time, permanent position with 35-40 hours per week - Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant bar required - Extensive knowledge of NZ and European wines and excellent customer service skills needed - Hourly rate: $27-$30 per hour

Job requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant bar - Cocktail, Beverage, and Coffee making skills - Extensive knowledge of NZ and European wines including food matching, wine service, and sales - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Positive attitude and passion for the hospitality industry

Job responsibilities:

- Know all cocktails on the menu and unlisted classics - Bar set up and closedown, restocking, keg changing, clean down, and barback duties - Coffee making and food and drink service at the bar and outside Laneway - Brand ambassador, customer connection, and service - Assist guests with wine selection - Wait on a section in the restaurant if required - Beverage salesperson

Qualifications:

- Wine training certificates or references - At least 2 years of experience working in a busy bar restaurant

Skills:

- Cocktail, Beverage, and Coffee making skills - Extensive knowledge of NZ and European wines - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Ability to remain calm under pressure - Speed of movement and positive attitude
