Senior Data Engineer Opportunity in Grafton

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our client's team in Grafton, Auckland. This role offers a unique blend of in-office collaboration and WFH flexibility, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high standards of customer care
• Contribute to a project set to go live in July
• Create Notebooks using Python and PySpark in Azure Databricks
• Develop and maintain Data Warehousing solutions
• Utilize SQL Server (2014+) for data management
• Build and manage pipelines in Azure Data Factory
• Apply data modeling concepts, especially Dimensional modeling
• Ensure cloud security and data lake integration

Requirements:

• Experience with Azure Databricks, Workflows, and Notebooks
• Proficiency in Data Warehousing, both legacy and cloud-based
• Strong SQL Server skills
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory for ETL processes
• Familiarity with dimensional data modeling
• Cloud security expertise
• Ability to read from/write to Data Lake Blob Storage
