The Role

As a Senior or Intermediate Consents Planner, your responsibilities will include assessing and processing complex resource consent applications, providing expert advice on consent-related matters, collaborating with stakeholders for sustainable development, leading projects to improve the consent process, and advocating for the use of technology in environmental management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and process resource consent applications in compliance with the Resource Management Act (RMA) and local plans.
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on consent matters.
  • Lead projects for process improvement and policy development.
  • Advocate for technology and innovation in environmental management.

About You

The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree in Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field, a minimum of 5 years of experience (or 3 years for an intermediate) in a similar role, a comprehensive understanding of the RMA, knowledge of water and wastewater systems, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Work Flexibility

This role offers a work from home flexibility of 1-2 days a week to local candidates, providing a balanced work-life approach.
