As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering and developing a visionary new program focused on vocational initial teacher education. You will work closely with the teaching team and partner schools to prepare teacher graduates who can effectively lead multicultural classrooms.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Supporting and developing the Bachelor of Education Initial Teacher Education program
  • Creating teaching content, resources, and assessments to enhance learner engagement in a blended learning environment
  • Engaging in active research and professional development to stay current in the field
  • Visiting and evaluating student teachers during their professional practice experiences
  • Building connections with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills Required

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • A Master's degree in Education
  • A Full New Zealand Driver's License
  • A Full Practising Certificate with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with young people in school settings
  • Strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Experience working with adult learners is a plus
