Auckland Transport is at the forefront of developing transport infrastructure to foster healthy and accessible communities. They are dedicated to providing safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation options to create a vibrant and connected Auckland. As part of their ambitious transformation program, they are seeking talented individuals to join their team. Currently, there are two Senior Planner positions available in their Consent Planning Team.

Responsibilities

  • Working alongside planning consultants to prepare applications for larger complex projects.
  • Lodging applications on behalf of Auckland Transport.
  • Preparing reports to identify risks and provide recommendations.
  • Collaborating with key partners such as Manawhenua, Waka Kotahi, KiwiRail, and Auckland Council.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A degree in Planning or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of planning experience.
  • Strong project management and community engagement skills.
  • Ability to see challenges as opportunities and a flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • Desired membership to the NZ Planning Institute.
