About the Opportunity

As a Senior Spatial Analyst at Auckland Council, you will play a crucial role in providing timely insights into decisions, projects, and plans that will impact Auckland's people, economy, infrastructure, and environment. You will lead research and analysis to enhance understanding of complex questions related to growth and urban development. The role involves working on high-impact projects that aim to embed quality advice from evidence and targeted research into policy and strategic decision-making processes.

What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in spatial planning, geospatial analysis, or infrastructure planning. Ideal candidates will have proven GIS experience, preferably with ArcGIS suite and FME Workbench, a strong ability to identify knowledge gaps and opportunities, and experience in utilizing diverse research methods. Most importantly, we are seeking individuals who are inherently curious and genuinely interested in the future of Auckland's land use and improving outcomes for the region.
