Senior Technical Advisor Full-time Job

Key points:

- Provide expert technical advice to biodiversity and regional operations - Focus on systems improvement and implementation - Work on the eradication and management of introduced pest animals in New Zealand - Participate in conservation initiatives to protect and restore nature

Job requirements:

- Graduate or postgraduate degree in ecology or related discipline - Strong understanding of pest management principles - Familiarity with project management methodologies - Knowledge of animal pest management best practices - Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively

Job responsibilities:

- Provide expert technical advice on animal pest management - Contribute to departmental priorities and strategy - Share best practices in animal pest management - Develop and maintain best practice operating procedures - Collaborate with operations teams and partners for conservation initiatives

Qualifications:

- Graduate or postgraduate degree in ecology or related discipline

Skills:

- Strong understanding of pest management principles - Familiarity with project management methodologies - Ability to build effective relationships - Effective communication and presentation skills - Ability to coach and mentor others
