Job Description

The responsibilities of a Senior Waiter at Ahi include taking food and beverage orders, serving customers, answering questions, and attending to customer requests. They must maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the menu items, use sales techniques to upsell, ensure high standards of table service, work collaboratively with bartenders and kitchen staff, and keep the restaurant clean and orderly. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be motivated, adaptable to a high-pressure environment, and willing to learn and grow with the team.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the Senior Waiter position at Ahi is someone with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team. They should be willing to learn and grow with the team, have at least 1 year of waiting experience, knowledge of New Zealand suppliers, and be available to work a minimum of 45 hours per week.
