About the Role

As a Trainee Engineer at Ventia, you will work under the guidance of a Manager or Supervisor on various tasks including assisting with new projects, conducting research, planning, report writing, and data management. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Project Manager and teams in resource planning for efficiency
• Ensuring Quality Assurance onsite and providing feedback to enhance productivity
• Assisting with daily cost tracking and research for reporting
• Traveling to different sites for practical experience
• Identifying areas for improvement and providing feedback to enhance processes
• Complying with Risk Management, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment systems

What We Look For in You

As an ideal candidate, you should have experience or exposure in Project Management, Planning, or Scheduling. Additionally, possessing a good understanding of NZ3910-2003 and the CCA is preferred. Key skills and competencies include:

• Experience in Project Management, Planning, or Scheduling
• Good understanding of NZS3910-2003 and the CCA
• Ability to interpret and evaluate plans, diagrams, and sketches effectively

Education and Qualifications

• Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or higher
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
