About the Role

As a Support Worker in the Health and Wellbeing Team at Pathways, you will help individuals experiencing mental health challenges develop goals and skills to manage their well-being through healthy lifestyle choices. The team focuses on various well-being areas such as physical health, being active, eating well, connecting with peers, whanau, and community, exploring spirituality, and working well.

This role involves planning and facilitating regional events, supporting Housing and Recovery services with group activities, and managing a one-on-one caseload. If you are passionate about yoga, sport, education, dance, or fitness, this role provides opportunities to bring your interests to work.

Requirements for the Role

  • Current NZ full driver's licence
  • Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or equivalent
  • Experience as a support worker
  • Passion for working with Te Ao Maori
  • Knowledge of Auckland Health and Social Services sectors
  • Resilience and compassion for supporting the local community
  • Effective communication and rapport-building skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Tech-savvy
