Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for 6 System Architects to join Auckland Council. As a System Architect, you will play a key role in owning the delivery or business value through architecture, working closely with engineering delivery teams to bring architecture to life. If you are passionate about turning architectural visions into reality and enjoy solving complex problems, this role is for you.

Job Responsibilities

As a System Architect, you will be responsible for actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives, defining and communicating technical visions for the Agile Release Train (ART), and maintaining the architectural runway. You will provide technical guidance and support to Agile teams, engage in key ART events, and ensure solutions align with the architectural strategy. Collaboration with Principal Architects, managing technical debt, risks, and dependencies are also essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with over 7 years of experience in system architecture, preferably within a SAFe or Agile environment. Essential skills include technical expertise, proficiency in agile methodologies, effective communication, problem-solving, innovation, risk management, collaboration, adaptability, and strategic thinking.
