Job Title: Support Worker for 'Take Charge' Team

Location: Christchurch Central

Hours: 20 hours per week (Part-time position)

Odyssey House Trust Christchurch is a renowned organization specializing in Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug treatment. The 'Take Charge' team focuses on supporting young individuals dealing with mental health concerns, assisting them in finding employment, and providing ongoing support.

Job Responsibilities

• Providing individualized support to young individuals to promote engagement, hope, and self-awareness.
• Collaborating with clinical staff and employment specialists.
• Motivating young individuals to participate fully in the program.
• Planning, delivering, and monitoring activities and appointments for young people.
• Delivering services that respect Te Tiriti O Waitangi and promote diversity.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience working with young people.
• Excellent communication skills for both group and one-on-one settings.
• Background in social services, addictions, or mental health sectors.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage a busy schedule.
• Preferably hold a Health and Wellbeing qualification.
