Opportunity Overview

The Korowai Care program focuses on providing specialist palliative care services to individuals with complex needs in the comfort of their own homes. As the Clinical Nurse Lead, you will be instrumental in leading and developing this care program, working closely with a team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery and development of the specialist palliative care program
  • Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare assistants and casual staff
  • Provide enhanced assessments and care to individuals with palliative care needs
  • Collaborate with the Community Palliative Care team to offer specialized care

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you should be a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Palliative Care. Key requirements include:

  • Post-graduate nursing qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of post-registration experience
  • Previous experience in a nurse leadership role preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi and commitment to Biculturalism
