Role Overview

Te Rito Maioha is currently seeking a Digital Technologies Leader to advance their engagement with current and emerging digital technologies in tertiary education. Reporting to the Director of Teaching, Learning, and Research, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting high-quality teaching through the use of digital technologies, enhancing learning outcomes, and building staff capability in technology-enhanced learning. Additionally, the role involves identifying future digital technologies that align with the organization's vision for teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Support, enable, and promote high-quality teaching with pedagogical expertise and appropriate digital technologies
  • Bolster staff capability for technology-enhanced learning
  • Identify future digital technologies aligned with the organization's teaching and learning vision
  • Contribute to research initiatives based on Masters or PhD research

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proven academic leadership experience, preferably in initial teacher education
  • A strong understanding of e-pedagogy and teaching online
  • Familiarity with educational technology trends, including AI, gamification, and online learning platforms
  • A Masters' or PhD
