Job Description

The Team Leader – Recruitment and Retention will lead a team of Student Experience Consultants in the Student Experience Centre. This role requires managing a high-performing team that supports current and prospective students through their journey with the University of Auckland. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership and influencing skills, cultural competency in Te Ao Māori, and experience in team management for high performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Student Experience Consultants
  • Support current and prospective students
  • Encourage innovation and creativity in the team
  • Develop leadership skills and promote collaboration
  • Contribute to strategic development and goal achievement
  • Effectively problem-solve and utilize data analytics

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have proven leadership in outbound sales or student support environments, understanding of Te Ao Māori, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume and deadline-driven setting. Additionally, skills in team building, change management, and cultural competency development are essential.
